The Weekender Terms & Conditions:

1. General

1.1 By booking the Weekender you confirm that you are over the age of 18 and have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.
1.2 During the tour we ask you to follow the instructions of your ride leaders at all times; notify us of any medical ailments from which you suffer which may affect your ability to participate in the tour; wear a helmet at all times whilst cycling; not cycle when under the influence of alcohol or drugs; and ensure you have travel insurance according to the provisions of the ‘insurance’ paragraph in this document, providing you with cover for baggage, cycling equipment and medical expenses whilst on the tour.

1.3 Also upon arrival we will also ask you to sign a Release of Liability form, which will be emailed to you in advance.

1.4 Although we try to present information and descriptions of our tour as accurately as possible, participants are encouraged to make independent investigations of their own about the weather prospects for the duration of the tour, the condition of the roads and the terrain over which the tours may take place. It is the responsibility of participants to decide for themselves whether or not any tour organised by us is either suitable or appropriate for them in terms of the challenges and risks that may be encountered.

2. Responsibilities

2.1 All participants must agree to observe local laws and ensure that their conduct in no way puts at risk the welfare of any participant during a cycle tour.

2.2 Accepting confirmation of a booking and/or joining the Weekender signifies agreement and therefore if your conduct is considered by CyprusRoadie to be detrimental to the welfare of other tour participants in the group, you may be asked to leave the tour without the right to a refund.

2.3 If for any reason you fail to arrive at the appointed time and place for the commencement of the Weekender, we will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by you in joining the tour. No refund or compensation of any kind will be due to you or payable by us for any unused portion of the tour, including bike rent, food, drinks and services if you are unable or choose not to complete the tour.

3. Pricing

3.1 Prices of CyprusRoadie tours are in EUR (€) and are displayed on the CyprusRoadie site. Prices are based on double occupancy (two people per room) and include taxes. Single occupancy is possible and is quoted accordingly on the trip page.

3.2 Late arrival or early departure is possible, but we will not be able to offer price reductions.

4. Payment Methods

4.1 Payments can be made via PayPal account on the CyprusRoadie website. This method of payment also allows for the use of credit or debit cards.

5. Deposit

5.1 A non-refundable €150 must be paid advance of the trip commencement and acts as a reservation of a place on the Weekender.

5.2. We will treat each deposit payment and subsequent booking form as an offer by you to purchase the trip package in accordance with these terms and conditions. We will acknowledge receipt of your booking by email. If you notice any errors regarding your booking on this email, please contact us at to correct these.

5.3 A contract will only be in place between us (all persons named on the booking form) once your deposit has cleared to us and we have issued a confirmation of this. The date on the confirmation will be the date the contract is made.

6. Final Payment

6.1 We will invoice you for the remainder of the cost of your trip, which you must pay no later than 45 days before the event start date. If you book less than 45 days before the event start date you must make full payment upon booking. If the balance is not paid in time we reserve the right to cancel your trip and offer your place to another participant.

7. Your Reservation and Agreement

7.1 Once the deposit is paid, your place on our event is reserved subject to final payment. The receipt of the deposit is confirmed by email.

7.2 The next email communication is sent ahead of the deadline to pay the remaining amount. In this email we will confirm your participation and ask you to complete a Release of Liability form. This form must be completed and returned to in advance of the Weekender start date. You should retain a copy for your own records.

7.3 After you have paid the balance of your trip, further email communication from CyprusRoadie and/or its partners will seek information on dietary requirements, arrival and departure time and place, and bike rental information if necessary. You should also use this email communication to forward to CyprusRoadie any other information or questions you may have.

8. Insurance

8.1 Cycling has inherent risks attached to it and CyprusRoadie shall not be liable for any damages relating to loss of property or injury of any kind to any participant. It is the responsibility of each participant to take out travel and personal accident insurance cover. Therefore, you must be adequately insured against personal injury, medical expenses arising from accident or injury, property loss, theft or damage.

8.2 CyprusRoadie shall not be liable for injury, damages, death, accident or delay to person or loss or damage to property due to negligence or default of any third party rendering any service included in the tour. You are responsible for any loss or damage to baggage, bicycles or personal possession or any consequential loss thereof. You are also responsible for the safekeeping of all your valuables.

8.3 By reserving a tour you will be deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions of service of which this paragraph is part.

8.3 Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realise and accept the dangers, risks and hazards inherent in the Weekender.

9. Cancellations

9.1 If you wish to cancel your trip, this must be done in writing (including by email to by the person named on the booking confirmation issued to you. You will be liable for the following cancellation charges:

9.2 60 days or more before the departure date: you will forfeit your deposit;

9.3 More than 30 days and less than 60 days: a 50% refund of the trip price will be made;

9.4 Less than 30 days before the departure date: no refund will be given.

9.5 The refund will be made in the same currency and in the same method of payment as any of your payments already completed.
We cannot be liable for refunds of any other costs incurred by you (namely transportation, flights, insurance etc).

10. Changes

10.1 Every effort is made to keep changes to a minimum. However, CyprusRoadie reserves the right to make date, route, activity and accommodation modifications.

10.2 CyprusRoadie retains the right to cancel, modify or delay the Weekender as a result of unforeseeable events that are beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to, acts of God, war (whether declared or undeclared), terrorist activities or threats of terrorist activities, incidents of violence, public health issues or quarantine or threats of public health issues, strikes, governmental restrictions, fire or severe weather conditions, or any other reason that makes it impossible or commercially unreasonable in the sole opinion of CyprusRoadie to conduct the trip as originally contracted.

10.2 If CyprusRoadie cancels the Weekender for any such reason, it will make its best efforts to reschedule at another convenient date. In case this is not possible, you will receive a full refund of all money paid.

10.3 CyprusRoadie reserves the right to cancel any trip at our discretion should the safety of our clients or staff be compromised. CyprusRoadie reserves the right to stop you from participating on the Weekender if you behave in an abusive and / or threatening manner or engage in illegal activities.

10.4 CyprusRoadie is not responsible for any personal expenses incurred due to changes in itineraries or trip cancellations, such as airline tickets. We strongly recommend confirming your trip with CyprusRoadie before making any additional travel arrangements.

11. Road Safety

11.1 When you book the Weekender, you undertake to conduct yourself in a manner that does not put at risk your own safety and that of other participants on the tour. In addition, you accept all risks of the roads of Cyprus including challenging terrain, road hazards, road posts and signs, vehicles on the road, hazards from other cyclists and other road users.

11.2 Cyclists can and do sustain serious injuries from such hazards. CyprusRoadie or its associates cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for the state of the roads of Cyprus or for the conduct of any participant or other road users.

12. Physical Ability

12.1 It is the sole responsibility of the participant to determine his or her level of bike handling ability and whether or not the Weekender is suitable for the individual concerned. Participants accept all risks to their physical well-being associated with this activity, such as their ability to withstand exposure to the elements, level and extent of physical exertion, tolerance and endurance.

12.2 We are not qualified to give medical support or advice. However, please inform/advise us of any medical condition that you have.

12.3 Participants will be using public roads while out cycling and it is for the participants to decide whether or not their bike and wearable equipment, physical endurance, and/or bike and road handling are of an appropriate standard for the Weekender.

13. Equipment

13.1 In case a timely request is made, CyprusRoadie makes bicycles available for rent provided by a third party. All rules regarding renting a bicycle with our partner are applicable to the participants in the Weekender. Cycle components and even cycle frames can fail unexpectedly for which we accept no responsibility.

13.2 In case you bring your own bike, you are responsible to check that it is in a roadworthy condition, meaning that the participant accepts all responsibility for equipment failure of any kind and any resulting problems and/or expenses that may occur.

14. Protective wear

14.1 Participants are obliged to wear a suitable protective cycle helmet whether or not it is required by law. CyprusRoadie does not provide helmets, so participants should use their own. In the case a participant arrives at the tour without a helmet he or she will not be permitted to ride the Weekender.

15. Peripheral equipment

15.1 Each and every participant on the Weekender assumes full responsibility for ensuring that any of their preferred snacks, food and water are included in their luggage to prevent delay, inconvenience, hardship and risk caused to themselves and other participants who may be indirectly affected.

16. Complaints

16.1 If you have a complaint during the trip about any matter related to the Weekender, you must report it immediately to enable us to help resolve matters. If you feel the matter is serious, you should also submit your complaint in writing to us by sending an email message to as soon as possible, or within seven days from the date of your last day of the trip.
