cyprusroadie is a place for cyclists (and anyone else for that matter) to come and taste what this island has to offer. It's aimed at riders of all ages and abilities, whether you're a newbie or a time-served grimpeur. If you love riding a bike this is for you.

simon newton

Simon came to cycling after years of club rowing in the UK. He moved to Cyprus with his family in 2015 and spends as much time as he can fighting gravity on the island's many climbs.  A journalist for the past 25 years, he's reported for Sky, BBC and ITV News in the UK. He now works as a video journalist covering defence stories in Cyprus and the wider Middle East.

nestor fylaktos

Nestor was born and raised in northern Greece, and moved to Cyprus in 2006 after a long spell studying in the UK. He started cycling at an early age, but has become serious about riding bikes since 2013, after years of playing other sports, mainly basketball. The curiosity became a passion, and now borders on obsession. He is a trained scientist by day, and spends his time daydreaming about bikes, climbs and numbers.
